This Friday, Susan Mailer will talk about her book In Another Place, where she describes her relationship with the legendary North American author, in a conversation with the journalist Carmen Gloria López. The psychoanalyst, married to a Chilean, has lived in the country since the 1980s. “My father was a complex man, with lights and shadows: admired, criticized and hated. But he was also a great writer who left a great deal reflected in his books—part of what was happening in his country in the 20th century. Norman had a vision of the direction the United States was taking, a vision that has not been wrong,” she says.
