The Wall Street Journal has published an interview with Susan about In Another Place. From the interview:
But our best times together were the ski trips to Stowe, Vt. [My father] was impressed that I wasn’t afraid of the slopes. Conquering fear was a theme with my father. It probably dated to WWII. He went into the Army a skinny, coddled middle-class Harvard kid and had to toughen up to survive. Like many vets, the tough-guy persona came home with him.
